Email Workshop

By the end of the Email Template Workshop, we hope to have 3 key questions answered:

  1. Which type(s) of email template(s) best suits your partner and your program goals?
  2. What design elements need to be included in your email template?
  3. What functionality do you need the email template to include?
To complete an email template build you will need all the following information:

  1. Which type(s) of email template(s) best suits your partner and your program goals? The options Zift offers are listed below:
    1. Template: Nurture Email
      1. This template features both a landing page version, to help capture potential leads, as well as a non-landing page version.
    2. Template: Event
      1. This template allows the recipient to download a calendar file and send it right to their calendar.
    3. Template: Newsletter
      1. This template allows you to create a monthly newsletter email to send out to your customers.
    4. Template: Create Your Own Template (CYO)
      1. This is a "Partner only" template in Zift123, which allows the partner to create and customize their own emails. These are great resources for those partners who have a lot of content, but small marketing budgets.
  2. What design elements need to be included in your email template? We have recommended designs readily available. You will also have access to our template design library.
    1. Along with the main design, we will need to review specific branding guideline requirements.
      1. Where do you want your logo to be featured on this template?
      2. Where does the partner get to upload their logo?
      3. Will the partner's logo vary based on partner level?
      4. Which colors will be assigned to the initial version of the template?
    2. Once the template design is confirmed, we will begin nail down the functionality of the new template.
  3. What functionality do you need the email template to include?
    1. Below you will see examples of our most frequently used types of functionality:
      1. Show/Hide functionality on banner images
      2. Additional Call-to-action (CTA) buttons on the confirmation page
      3. Sidebar vs. No sidebar
      4. Feature CTA buttons go to external URLS and not just assets
      5. Ability to add extra sections of body copy
  4. Once everything has been confirmed, next steps include beginning the template build. Once the template has been completed, Zift will send the template for your preview/approval.
